Afternoon tea with KSC - Bandi Chhor Divas ←

We had a lovely afternoon filled with poetry, pastries, petals, and meaningful reflection as we gathered to remember what Bandi Chhor Divas means to us. KSC members came prepared with their favourite poetry and prose inspired by themes associated with Bandi Chhor Divas, including freedom and liberation, standing against injustice, the triumph of light over darkness, compassion and selflessness, and service to others and the community. Sitting together around the same table, we shared ideas, listened to one another, and reflected on the ways these themes resonate in our own lives and in the world around us.

After filling our minds and souls with inspiration, we enjoyed a desi take on afternoon tea, complete with delicious treats and chai! Members then headed over to our DIY flower-making station, where they created beautiful bouquets to take home.
All in all, it was a truly special afternoon, one filled with reflection, connection, creativity, and community.
